‘Splash’ piggy bank by Zaha Hadid Design raises £6,000 at Saatchi Gallery’s auction with Sotheby’s for Innocence In Danger

Founded in 2000, Innocence In Danger defends and protects children against all forms of exploitation, abuse and trafficking.

Joining other piggy banks by artists and designers including Emilio Pucci, Christian Lacroix and Elie Saab, ‘Splash’ by Zaha Hadid Design is part of Mouna Rebeiz’s “Trash-ic or Trash in the Face of Beauty” exhibition at the Saatchi Gallery.

Combining traditional ceramic techniques with 3D-printing and a chromed finish, the ‘Splash’ design has evolved from Mouna Rebeiz’s original piggy bank, with the dynamic splash placed over the slot highlighting how even dropping a small coin into the slot can make a big difference.
